Join the Centre’s celebrated poetry group at the launch of their new anthology, Gazing at Gaia, in the beautiful surroundings of the Lotus Hall. There will be two of these special evenings of poetry and refreshments – tonight and again on Friday 23rd June at 6 pm. Both events are free, everyone’s welcome and there’s no need to book ahead.
Manchester Buddhist Centre has become home to many local poets and writers. We offer them a space to meet and share their inspiration, and in turn their presence and energy adds something to the positive atmosphere of the Centre.
The heart warming yet unsentimental poems in Gazing at Gaia offer us different ways of looking at the familiar so we see it anew. These special evenings of readings will feature the work of a wide range of published Manchester poets including Janet Loverseed, Mark Pajak, Fokkina McDonald, Edmund Prestwich and Martin Zarrop.
Gazing at Gaia costs £5 and all proceeds go to the upkeep of the Centre. Copies will be available on the night, cash payments only please. You can also buy copies in our shop.
