Next walk: Chorlton Water Park, 26th May 2013
This weekend we will be heading for the bridle paths of Chorlton Water Park. We’ll meet outside the Horse and Jockey pub in Chorlton at 11 am and the walk will be around 2.5 hours.
- Horse and Jockey is on Chorlton Green / Beech Road, M21 9HS
- Bus nos 85, 86, 84 and others to Chorlton Bus Station
- There are some short, accessible walks with smooth and level access at the water park too
- Walk led by Noel
- Any queries, please contact sanghawalksmbc [at] gmail [dot] com
In April we went to Stanage Edge …
A good turnout as ever, with warm windless conditions and large amounts of snow at the top, a positively alpine experience! Thanks to all who came along.

About the walks
We hope most walks will be available to the widest range of abilities and, where possible, accessible by public transport from Manchester.
You don’t need to register or book, just turn up at the walk start. Partners, children and pets are very welcome to come with you — just bear in mind that some of the walks may not be suitable for small children.

Walking guidelines
Please ensure that you have some comfortable walking boots or sturdy trainers, lightweight trousers (jeans are not comfy if it rains) and a waterproof jacket, and that you bring plenty of water and a packed lunch.
Disclaimer
Everybody who attends the walks does so at their own risk. This is not to say that the walks are suitable only for experienced mountain walkers or the super-fit, or that they will pass through any particularly unsafe areas.
However, the outdoors can be challenging and dangerous and we cannot take responsibility for anyone who attends the walks, so please ensure that you are prepared and have read the simple guidelines above.
