Day four of Going Inward — Christmas Day to much of the world — and we’re reflecting on lessons learnt during this fast dying year
Do we have an opportunity to learn from our mistakes? Are we helped, through our practising the Dharma, to move on from them? Or are we like the unfortunately-poisoned children of the skilled physician in the White Lotus Sutra?
…but when they are given the medicine, they refuse to take it. Why? Because the poison has penetrated deeply and their minds no longer function as before. So although the medicine is of excellent colour and fragrance, they do not perceive it as good
