Buddha in shopThere’s some great new stock in the shop and more on its way

We now have a much larger selection of CDs — spoken word, led meditations, music and chants. Pema Chodron, Jack Kornfield, Thich Nhat Hanh and our own Vidyamala and Sona are among the voices.

2011 Calendars and diaries are coming in now, along with a lovely range of greetings cards, and if you are looking for a calming meditative activity, how about a Tara colouring book or a jigsaw puzzle of the wheel of life?

New books

There are plenty of new books too, from introductory to specialist. Vajragupta’s Triratna Story is still proving popular at £7.99, and if you are interested in knowing more about Buddhist ritual why not get your own beautifully illustrated Puja book?

Nearly new books

We’ve had a bit of a change around on the second hand shelves, and now have a shelf of general children’s books, some new (or new to us anyway) mind, body and spirit titles, and some interesting poetry

As nights draw in …

Also just in is a new consignment of meditation shawls, including some very warm ones in jewel colours, direct from Nepal. Some are made of 100% yak wool, which is far more soft and cosy than it sounds. We have two new ethically-sourcing suppliers now, so expect even more variety in the future.
