About the series

An aspect of ordination into the Western Buddhist Order is the receiving of a Sadhana – a visualisation meditation practice. They choose one of the great archetypal Buddhas and Bodhisattvas from the Mahayana tradition to meditate on and are ‘given’ the practice in the ordination ceremony. Order members practice their sadhana regularly over a number of years, thus getting to know intimately their chosen Buddha or Bodhisattva. Each of the speakers in this series will be speaking about the Bodhisattva they meditate on, so you can be sure they will be speaking from familiarity and love.
