This friendly and informal day covers the essential aspects of Buddhist meditation
There will be help with finding a comfortable posture; short meditation periods building body and breath awareness; discussions and questions; and pointers for establishing a regular personal meditation practice.
Special focus
We will particularly focus on the mindfulness of breathing practice, for developing awareness or mindfulness
Although the day is suitable for complete beginners, it is also appropriate for those who have already learned the Metta Bhavana practice but not the mindfulness of breathing.

Practical arrangements
- Cost of the course does not include lunch. Please bring some vegetarian food to share
- Wear comfortable clothes and you may need some socks to keep your feet warm as we take our shoes off to meditate
