Earth Cafe is a relaxing and comfortable place to enjoy delicious, healthy and affordable vegetarian food and juices

We change the menu with the seasons, using as much local produce as possible

You don’t need to be a vegetarian or vegan, just into great, healthy home cooked food that is good for your body

New opening times

Over the summer we’ve been trying longer opening times. From the beginning of September 2010 we’re open on:

Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 11 — 4
Tuesdays and Fridays: 11 — 8
Saturdays and Sundays: 10 — 5

Finding us

Located in the basement of the Buddhist Centre, accessed by the lift or steps down from the street outside

What we’re about

We take pride in what we produce here
We use quality ethically sourced ingredients (organic where possible)
We chop, mix, cook and bake almost everything we sell, therefore you won’t find any hydrogenated fats, msg, colourings, preservatives, additives or any other nasty hidden extras in our food
We do this daily, so that our food is fresh and nutritious
All of our food is always 100% vegan, even the cakes. The only dairy product we offer is organic cow’s milk for hot drinks (for those who don’t like soya milk)
Most days we offer options that are gluten-free and garlic-free

Reviews and awards

In 2007 we were delighted to be awarded one of only three Manchester Gold Food Futures certificates for healthy and sustainable eating, defined as ‘a truly five star eating establishment which puts into practice the values and vision of Food Futures in every area of service’.

Evening events

There’s something special most Friday nights and sometimes other nights too, like Mouthy Poets on Tuesday, 5th October, 6.30pm– free event, part of the Literature Festival
