Come and help out

Volunteering

The Centre depends on large numbers of volunteers giving their time and energy

If you are a regular at the Centre, and have completed a level 2 Buddhism course, talk to us about your skills and what you can offer. You can help out on a regular basis or just occasionally. We need people like you to clean, decorate and fix things for starters, and from time to time seek volunteers with specific skills, and people to help out at events.

Helping out is a chance to be at the heart of things, make friends and know that your actions make a difference to hundreds of people every week.

Sangha Works days

Every month we get together for a day to work on particular areas of our beautiful centre. Everyone is welcome at these friendly and fun days. More details on the events page or calendar

Sangha works by building Sangha. It was great working as a team with other members of our Sangha who I had never met before or just knew by face

What’s it like to volunteer at the Centre?

“What do I enjoy about it? I love just being in the building and the people I meet. I can incorporate the things I do into my practice — cleaning mindfully (sometimes!), being aware of the sights and sounds of the city.

I enjoy feeling that I have played a very small part in maintaining our beautiful Centre.”
