Volunteering
The MBC depends on a team of paid workers and volunteers to give their time and energy. You can help out on a regular or occasional basis, so talk to us about your skills and what you can offer. We need people to clean, decorate, fix things and distribute leaflets for starters.
Helping us can give you the chance to be at the heart of things, make friends and know that your actions make a difference that benefits hundred’s of people every week.

“I feel that I am part of the Centre and not just a visitor.” Volunteer
What’s it like to volunteer at the MBC?
“What do I enjoy about it? I love just being in the building and the people I meet. I can incorporate the things I do into my practice — cleaning mindfully (sometimes!), bring aware of the sights and sounds of the city. I enjoy the different leaflet runs and have discovered little streets, beautiful architecture and canal towpaths that I didn’t know existed before, despite having visited Manchester regularly for years. I enjoy feeling that I have played a very small part in maintaining our beautiful Centre.” Volunteer
“It highlights my inability to work mindfully! At the Buddhist Centre… my mind is all over the place and this is a good lesson.” Volunteer
