The people behind the scenes

On the ground, the Centre Team, its teach­ers and other employ­ees imple­ment the vis­ion of the Board of Trustees

Trust­ees

The trust­ees are leg­ally respons­ible for the run­ning of the Centre. This includes Dharma and med­it­a­tion teach­ing, and also the administration.

Manchester Buddhist Centre is a registered char­ity (char­ity reg. no. 514937).

The trust­ees are:

• Dayamala (Chair)

Chair

Dayamala is the chair of the MBC. She is respons­ible for the Centre’s spir­itual dir­ec­tion and integrity

Teach­ing

Teach­ing is done by a num­ber of Order Mem­bers. The Teach­ing Kula imple­ments the trust­ees’ ideas:

• Arthaketu
• Padmadar­shini

Employ­ees

Vajra­mudita, as Dir­ector of Oper­a­tions, executes the trust­ees’ decisions with the Centre Team

Centre Team

The Centre Team con­sists of five part-time staff and two full-time staff:

• Keith Green (Fun­drais­ing and Mar­ket­ing Man­ager, Pub­li­city and Communications)

• Suryaka (Facil­it­ies and Main­ten­ance Man­ager, management)
• Vajra­mudita (Dir­ector of Oper­a­tions — main man­ager of team)
