Its education service is run by the Clear Vision Trust, which is based in the Centre and produces acclaimed Buddhist educational materials for schools. Primary teacher, Years 4 & 5 Carers Weekends In partnership with the Manchester City Council and the Manchester Carers’ Forum, we run regular weekend residential retreats for full-time carers. The weekends introduce carers to methods of stress management and relaxation and provide a warm, friendly and supportive environment in which carers can unwind and gain perspective. in Schools Breathworks is a not-for-profit organisation that helps people living with pain, long term illness or stress to manage their condition and improve their quality of life. They are rapidly gaining recognition internationally as experts in the field of mindfulness-based pain management. The programme teaches a range of mindfulness-based techniques such as relaxation, breath awareness and meditation. It also provides training in strategies such as goal setting and pacing, whereby one brings awareness to the activities of daily life. The course includes meditations adapted from the Buddhist tradition, it is entirely secular and we welcome people of all races and creeds. The course materials include three CDs of led meditations as well as a handbook.
