Visiting Teachers
Saddhanandi
Saddhanandi describes herself as following a path of “becoming more deeply human”. She is chairwoman of Taraloka Buddhist Retreat Centre for Women and has been teaching since she was ordained in 1984.
Paramananda
Paramananda has taught meditation for twenty years and is the author of several popular books. He was chairman of the San Francisco Buddhist Centre and has taught meditation in prisons, hospices, drug rehab centres and corporations.
Wolf at the Door writing workshops
In these workshops Ananda uses discussion and group assignments to activate the imagination and release energy that has been locked up by years of negative conditioning. Friendship, trust and communication usually develops quickly in the group and gives students the confidence to try things out without fear of being judged or criticised inappropriately.
Dhammagita
Dhammagita teaches body work and meditation with humour, sincerity and fun. She has trained extensively in the US with author and meditation teacher Reggie Ray.
Tejananda
Tejananda has been practising Buddhism and meditation for over thirty years. He has written The Buddhist Path to Awakening, and taught meditation and Dharma in the UK, Europe and the USA.
Part of the teaching team at Vajraloka Meditation Retreat Centre since 1995, he became chairman there in 2001. He is particularly inspired by the formless meditations of the Tibetan Mahamudra and Dzogchen traditions, which all find reflection in his Entering Pure Awareness retreats.
